Alphabet of Gratitude

This gratitude practice takes you through the letters of the alphabet and guides you through a different word with accompanying definition, quote, scripture passage, and question for reflection each day. The words are designed to expand your vocabulary of gratitude.

Whether you use the print materials, social media images, or both - you and your congregation will be guided through 26 days of thanks-giving.

Resources for adults include a print booklet and three social media images per day. Resources for children and youth include a tree of gratitude with printable leaves, a gratitude flip book, and individual letter social media images.

For Families

It’s never too early to start a practice of gratitude. Engage your child(ren) where they are. Whether you’re using the flip book designed for older children and youth or the tree of gratitude designed for younger children, you’ll have an opportunity to work through all the letters of the alphabet.

You can go in order of the letters or jump around as you find different things you’re thankful for. Letter images can be sent out to youth via text message or posted on social media each day.

Younger children can color a tree of gratitude and cut out leaves to add to it each day.

A printable booklet that presents a word and definition for each letter of the alphabet. Words are paired with a quote, scripture passage, and question for reflection.

3 images per day: The first image gives the definition for the word of the day and a question for reflection. The second image gives a quote that connects with the word, and the third image is a Bible verse. The question often connects to the quote, so it’s recommended to post them at the same time.

Children + Youth Options

There are three extra options for children and youth included in each bundle: a tree of gratitude with printable leaves, an alphabet flip book, and letter images for youth social media/text message.
