Lenten Micropractices

In our Lenten Micropractices, you’ll find a new practice to guide you each day on your journey of preparation. Some practices can be done on the spot, some during the day, and others will take some time and/or prep work.

Traditionally, there are three pillars of Lent: praying, fasting, and alms giving, which come to us from Matthew 6:1-18. The micropractices rotate through these themes, along with additional practices that don’t fit neatly in one of those categories (“more”).

Return to Me Lent Devotion

“Yet even now, says the Lord,
return to me with all your heart,
with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning;
rend your hearts and not your clothing.”
– Joel 2:12-13a

These Ash Wednesday verses set the stage for a Lenten practice. Over the next 40 days, you are invited to explore the journey of return through creating a hands-on Lenten space, fasting, praying, giving, journaling, and spiritual practices.
