Words to Build On

This resource is a collection of God’s promises of love, hope, and encouragement as we seek to live out our faith both individually and in community. Passages are from the NRSV translation, and some verses have been edited for inclusivity.

As the foundation for our lives as Christians, the words of scripture are meant to build upon. While only a few verses are shared at a time, scripture does not stand alone—it is always a part of a larger context. When needed, feel free to build on the context of passages or give them in a more complete setting.

Kid Friendly Version

All items (print, social media images, and flip cards) are available in a child friendly version. Verse translations are primarily from the CEB version of the bible, and reflections have been adjusted for elementary aged children. Examples below.

Options Available

All options are available in youth/adult version and kid’s version. Items may be purchased individually or together as a bundle. To purchase both adult and kid’s versions, use the kid’s bundle add-on.

Flip Card Printables
